José Bautista
Dominican-born former MLB star José Bautista has seamlessly transitioned into the business world as a professional investor and entrepreneur. After beginning his career with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2001 and spending his most impactful seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays, Bautista demonstrated business acumen both on and off the field. While playing, he earned a business degree from the University of South Florida and leveraged this knowledge to negotiate equity positions with endorsement partners. He acted as an early equity partner, lead investor, and board member for Marucci Sports (later sold to Compass Diversified Holdings) and also invested in Canada Goose (which went public in 2017) and Endy Sleep (acquired by Sleep Country in 2018). His reputation as a respected player and ethical businessman has garnered partnerships with major brands like Audi, Hublot, Coca-Cola, TD Bank, Fanatics, General Mills, The Players Tribune, Silver Jeans, Booster Juice (Canada), Pizza Pizza (Canada), and New Balance. Since retiring from MLB in 2018, Bautista has become an active investor, board member, philanthropist, and entrepreneur, currently serving as a Partner and Senior Advisor to Aquilance, a financial management firm assisting high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and families.

Nate Croyle
Nate brings 16 years of combined experience in athlete management and finance. As José Bautista's Chief of Staff for the latter half of his career, Nate gained firsthand insight into the unique challenges faced by professional athletes, including the balance between sport and family, daily stressors, and the difficulty of finding trustworthy partners. Complementing this experience, Nate also has eight years of banking experience, serving as an analyst for large private banking clients and as a client relationship manager for high-net-worth individuals with assets exceeding $50 million.

Sumit Handa
Sumit Handa currently serves as Chief Investment Officer at Arax Investment Partners. His career includes leadership roles at several prominent financial institutions. He previously served as Managing Director/Partner and Co-Head of the investment committee at Pennington Partners & Co., a multi-family office. Prior to Pennington, Sumit was Head of Asset Allocation at Tiber Capital/Insight Investment/BNY Mellon, where he structured transactions and managed assets for global insurance and reinsurance companies. Earlier in his career, he served as Chief Investment Officer for the City of Philadelphia Board of Pensions Retirement Plans and as a portfolio manager at DKR Capital.

Stephanie Prieto
Stephanie has a decade of experience as a Director of Operations within family offices, where she provided key leadership in managing the complex financial affairs of ultra-high-net-worth families. Her responsibilities encompassed a broad range of asset classes, including alternative investments, real estate, private lending, entertainment ventures, and personal banking. She also played a crucial role in reviewing and revising legal documents, overseeing the management of privately owned jets, and implementing new operational systems and protocols. Before joining Norte, Stephanie served as Director of Financial Assets and Controller. She has a demonstrated ability to successfully train and mentor teams, ensuring the smooth integration of new families and their assets.
